Description A perennial sub-shrub that spreads by underground stems. It is usually found scattered in small creeping clumps. It has dense, leafy stems with oblong, hairy leaves.
Mature Size 2"-8"
Bloom May-June. The 1/2" in diameter flowers are composed of white ray florets and yellow disk florets.
Interesting Facts Its Latin name means "similar to heath."
Traditional and Medicinal Uses Hopi, Navajo and Zuni native Americans used it for toothache and rheumatism.
