Description Long-trailing and twining stems with rather triangular leaves. Often climbs and forms dense tangled mats. Extensive root system that can penetrate the soil to a depth of 10'. Spreads by rhizomes and seeds.
Mature Size Stems are 1'-4'.
Bloom May-Oct. White to pink, bell or funnel shaped, approximately 1" wide.
Interesting Facts Native to Europe. Serious weed problem. Seeds remain viable for up to 50 years. Grows all over the world.
Traditional and Medicinal Uses According to a website, a tea made from the flowers or leaves is laxative and is also used as a wash for spider bites. A green dye is obtained from the whole plant.
