Germander

Botanical Name Teucrium laciniatum
Common Name Germander
Family Lamiaceae - Mint
Description This perennial has many square, straight stems that are branched at the base. They form clumps as they grow in colonies. The leaves are opposite and deeply pinnately cut (nearly to the midrib).
Mature Size 6 - 8 inches
Bloom April-May. The flowers are scattered, somewhat funnel-shaped, greenish-white with pink or purple veins. Each flower is ½” to ¾” long and has 2 lips. The upper lip is much shorter than the lower one.

Interesting Facts Used in landscaping. Spicy and sweet fragrance.
