Description An annual with leaves crowded near the base of the plant.
Mature Size 4"-20"
Bloom May-July. Yellow-orange with reddish center, bowl-shaped, about 3/4" wide. These delicate flowers grow on the tips of branches.
Interesting Facts Common in the Chihuahuan Desert of New Mexico and Texas.
Traditional and Medicinal Uses
It is a member of the family that gives us the fabric linen and also linseed oil.
