On the Road with SFBG

SFBG longtime members have fond memories of going on-the-road with us. Past sojourns have included trips to Santa Barbara, California, Denver and Seattle. Together we have visited world-class botanical gardens and arboretums, whimsical and formal private properties, country gardens, rose gardens, sculpture gardens, edible urban gardens, country estates and more. We dine only at the most innovative and creative restaurants and picnic beneath stands of tall leafy trees. Our study leaders and horticultural experts are second to none. Are you convinced?
Day Trips
Sometimes staying close to home can be just as fun as jetsetting across the globe. Each year we travel locally to visit artist studios, farms, nurseries, private gardens, cultural landmarks and nature preserves.
Did you know? In 2012, Conde Nast Traveler magazine readers voted Santa Fe as one of their favorite travel destinations in the U.S. It is the 21st time the city has been honored in the Best in the World Readers’ Choice Awards. Santa Fe was selected as the fourth most popular travel city in the U.S., after Charleston, S.C., San Francisco and Chicago.
Check our Upcoming Events for day trip information or call us at 471-9103.
Regional & International Tours
SFBG invites members and the public to travel to places close to home and far away. Past trips have offered the opportunity to tour other public botanical gardens, private gardens, try new foods, and shop at some of the best stores and plant nurseries.
Our travel enthusiasts are busy planning a garden tour to Europe and another closer to home, to be announced in the near future. Your feedback and ideas are appreciated. Contact us info@santafebotanicalgarden.org
If you are considering a trip this year and like the idea of exploring wonderful gardens and historic homes, staying in fine hotels, and sampling gourmet food, we invite you to make plans to join us in September. What could be better than doing all this in the company of like minded people in small, congenial groups?
