Library Coffee Hour “Fruit Trees and Shrubs” with Gordon Tooley of Tooley’s Trees
Tuesday, March 25th, 10am
Location: Terence S. Tarr Botanical and Horticultural Library, Museum Hill, SFBG Offices, 725 Camino Lejo, Suite E
Join us to meet and talk with Gordon Tooley of Tooley’s Trees about fruit trees and shrubs. Tooley’s grows many heirloom and uncommon varieties of grafted apples, apricots, plums, pears and cherries. He will discuss his work, choosing rootstocks, and some varieties of fruit trees that may be new to you; many have all but disappeared from our markets. He will also talk about species trees and shrubs, which are easy to care for and will provide screening, habitat and food for wildlife and people.
