Little Bluestem Grass
Schizachyrium scoparium 'Blaze'

Blaze Little Bluestem is a colorful, fine-leaved, warm season bunch grass. During the growing season it's a dark green that turns to a russet-red in fall through winter.

Seed heads give a soft and airy look when backlit by the setting sun.

Easy to grow and adapts to any soil type, including clay.

Plant in mesic (a medium type of soil that drains well yet retains some water) to dry soil in full sun.

Mature height ranges from 18 to 36 inches

Hardy to Zone 4.
