| Housed in the historic, late 19th century Bergere House at 135 Grant Street in Santa Fe, the Research Center is located several blocks from the Santa Fe Plaza and one block from the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum.
The Research Center Garden, thanks to a gift from the Barbara Goede Foundation, has been enhanced with plantings of trees and flowering plants that were subjects of Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings.
Additionally, next to the entrance gate is a wonderful, large rock similar to many O'Keeffe collected, inscribed with O'Keeffe's words: "Take time to look."
A large, visitor-friendly weatherproof sign features a color diagram of the garden with the locations and names of its many plants and trees.
The Garden is designed to bring joy to visitors and to the Santa Fe community.
Plants and flowers that Georgia O'Keeffe painted during her lifetime:
Bleeding Heart, Cactus Flowers (Cholla and others), Canna, Chrysanthemums, Columbine, Purple Crocus, Day Lily, Iris (all colors, Black Iris was O'Keeffe's favorite), Hollyhock, Jimson Weed, Lilac, Naked Ladies, Peony Poppy Red, Poppy Oriental, Peony, Roses, Sunflowers, Tree Peony, Yucca
