What Makes a Wetland?

Eighty early elementary students from four different schools visited Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve to learn about the characteristics of a wetland. They participated in hands-on activities involving plants, pond, and habitat. They came with happy hearts, eager spirits and sharp observational skills. They left with enhanced appreciation for this wetland preserve and the natural world.
